My name is Jasper Van Gestel.

I’m a multidisciplinary artist and tattooer from Antwerp, Belgium. My work is rooted in traditional crafts like tattooing and painting, and deeply inspired by the natural world, folklore and symbolism. 

A central thread in my work is what I call Intuitive Iconography — a way of creating where the hand leads before the mind intervenes. Instead of starting from fixed concepts, I draw intuitively and uncover the meaning of symbols afterwards. Over the years, this approach has grown into a personal visual language that flows through everything I make: tattoos, paintings, drawings, objects and written reflections.
